H.O.L.Y. – A Devotional Reflection
Living a holy life isn't about being perfect—it's about being set apart for God's purpose. Here's a heart check using the word HOLY:
H – Humble in Heart
Holiness starts with humility. When we recognize our need for God and surrender our pride, He begins to shape us into vessels of honor.
“God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” – James 4:6
O – Obedient to God’s Word
True holiness is shown in obedience. Not just knowing the Word—but living it, even when it's hard.
“If you love me, keep my commands.” – John 14:15
L – Loving Toward Others
Holiness isn’t harsh. It’s rooted in love. A holy person reflects God’s heart by caring deeply and loving genuinely.
“By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” – John 13:35
Y – Yielded to the Spirit
A holy life is a surrendered life—yielded to the guidance, correction, and power of the Holy Spirit.
“Walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.” – Galatians 5:16
